Doctor Who 502+503

katikatI needed a change of pace. Something... something I haven't watched in a while. So, I decided to finally continue Doctor Who! As you know, I have never been into DW but Matt Smith is awesome, so incredibly sweet and quirky - his "There's an escaped fish" made me giggle! - and I really like Amy Pond!
502: The space whale thingy was awesome. I loved how Amy was always willing to throw herself in danger because it was fun! And the buttons, to forget or to protest, what a clever idea. I also really liked the crack in space, reminded me of Bleach.
503: This was my first "Dalek episode", so to speak. Their voices are scary but they look rather funny, to be honest. I mean, I get that their look is sort of traditional and that the producers didn't want to disrupt that, still... As a non-traditional DW viewer, I would've preferred an update - remember how scary those spider-like replicators in SG-1 where? But the episode was really interesting, I liked the whole set-up for future eps. And the crack appeared again!
And it looks like the new companion will be announced tomorrow: link.
