How did he do it?

How did Sherlock do it? According to Steven Moffat, viewers have missed a big clue: link.
revolutionaryjo thinks it was the rubber ball thingy that Sherlock played with in Molly's lab. She read somewhere that Houdini used a rubber ball that he placed under his arm or in his arm pit to make heartbeat impalpable on his wrist. That would be awesome.
IMHO, Sherlock made John back away so that John wouldn't see him actually hit the ground, there was a smaller building that was blocking his view. Sherlock then jumped into the garbage/laundry truck and rolled off and before John - who was hit by that cyclist which couldn't be a coincidence - came closer, the truck pulled away, leaving a "dead" Sherlock lying on the sidewalk. And we've seen just how good an actor Sherlock is when he wants to be. I think it's the easiest explanation.
Also according to Moffat, Sherlock could return this year: link. I wouldn't count on it but The Hobbit's going to finish filming in July, so Martin Freeman should be available then. I think it depends on how big a part Benedict Cumberbatch will play in the new Star Trek. I will take anything, just not another 14 month long break between the seasons ;_;
"I've been online and looked at all the theories," Moffat told the Radio Times. "And there's one clue that everyone's missed."
He added: "It's something that Sherlock did that was very out of character, but which nobody has picked up on."
