Cowboys & Aliens
Sep. 3rd, 2011 04:02 pmWent to see Cowboys & Aliens today...

It was a good movie, great action, great CGI, cool actors. But it lacked... something. I didn't really care about any of the characters, I didn't connect with any them on an emotional level. I mean, I wasn't over the moon about Captain America but I adored Steve Rogers and I wanted to cuddle him and tell him everything would be okay. But in this movie... By the end, I didn't even remember the characters' names. Well, with the exception of Ella because a) she was the only female in the movie and b) she kicked ass.
I loved that she was an alien and that it was her who destroyed the ship, that she sacrificed herself to save humanity and avenge her own people. Too bad we didn't get to see her in her real form. The way she returned from the death, stepping out of the fire was awesome!
Oh, could someone explain to me what the thing with the hummingbird was? *scratches head*
So, ranking this year's movies:
1. XMFC
2. Thor
3. Fast Five
4. Captain America
5. Cowboys & Aliens
