The silent pat-pat of the rain drops on the window panes... the droplets sliding down the glass...

His breathing… a sleepy murmur… a quiet, painful moan…

An echo of a shot in the dark… a silent gasp… quiet but still so loud to my ears…

Then… shock… dread… pain… horror… anger… love…

A myriad of emotions…

And in the end…? Happiness… Alive… For now… Fear…
