Man, I'm enjoying the show more than I thought I would. Yeah, I still don't like Cal - he deserved to be fired on spot for what he did, it was so unethical it set my teeth on edge! - and if Della stopped complaining, I would be much happier, but it's fun to watch the team untangle all the threads.
But mostly, I enjoy Dan, Helen, Pete and Cameron - and Sid, for that matter - being awesomely awesome together! For me, they are the heart of the show, not Cal or Della or that cheating politician. Oh, and hey, it's that blond guy from Hustle!
I LOL'd when Sid told them proudly - and in detail - how he seduced Dominic. Man, they had a blast listening to it. And Cameron's "I'm not talking about Foy... toy... boy... sex... shock knock!" And then, when Cameron told Dan that his one-time journalism lecturer worked for the company they were investigating! That she used to have a weakness for "twitchy young undergraduates" and the laugh Dan and his dad shared, LOL! Oh, and Cameron didn't mind Dan calling him 'dad' at the office, ha!
You know, boiled down, I think I'm enjoying Cameron, the chief editor, and his son Dan most as characters. Cameron rocks, seriously, the way he handles the cops and all the problems his staff tends to cause. And Dan, I adore that, even though he's the only freelance there, he has the most calming, charming presence of all of them, keeping the team together when they start snipping at each other. And it's adorable how much he loves his wife :) I would've preferred if the show focused on those two rather than on I-can't-keep-it-in-my-pants!Cal and whiny!Della.
