I was surfing the net, reading various reviews of this movie, and I came across one that mentioned the epitome of phallic symbols that could be seen in this scene, right in the middle between Charles and Erik. The girl was all, "Subtle, Mr. Vaughn, really subtle!" And I cracked up. Now, whenever I watch this scene, I go all, "Look, a giant penis!" Fandom has ruined me for life! *rotf*

This scene is very atmospheric and lovely - yet, all I can think of is what a giant geek Charles is, carrying a chess board with him through the city! And it's not even the pocket-sized version XD

And those two, lounging on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, talking about feelings. For two guys, they talk about their feelings a lot! (Not that I mind!) Well, Charles talks about feelings because he's a pig-tailed schoolgirl at heart and I love him for it!

But seriously, it's a wonderful scene...
