katikatI know, I know that I should be working on the next chapter of Due South, but this bunny just wouldn´t leave me alone, so I wrote a Saiyuki drabble :)
Enlightenment

Goku flops down next to where his red-haired friend is sitting propped against a rock.
"Gojyo?"
"What?!"
"I´ve seen you… with a lot of women… over the years. Why didn´t it work with any of them?" he asks, curious.
When Gojyo finally answers, his voice is serious, devoid of mockery. "Because they were nothing compared to the one. The Perfect One," he adds softly.
"Huh?" Goku turns around, then follows Gojyo´s gaze to where Hakkai is sitting by the fire, caressing the silvery white scales of their little dragon, smiling gently. Goku blinks once, twice, then... "Oh… Oh!"
