And back to squeeing!

I know that many people didn't like January Jones' Emma Frost - but I did. She seemed so... doll-like, completely detached, without feelings, like a real sociopath. She was an amazing polar opposite of Charles who embraced his gift and literally radiated love for life in general, who invested so much of himself in everybody. Emma Frost didn't care one bit. That's why I love those post-movie fics where Erik realizes that one telepath isn't like the other. I mean, he admitted that his "break-up" with Charles left a hole in his life - cue in much squeeing ;P. I think it's because Charles is as much an empath as he is a telepath. Emma is just diamond-hard.
Another thing I loved? The way James McAvoy played Charles in his playing-with-ur-mind modus. He took a deep breath, pressed fingers to his temple, closed his eyes and when he opened them again, you could almost see he wasn't there anymore. It was the look in his eyes, his expression. Awesome, really awesome. I mean, how do you pretend you're reading someone's mind without looking like a doofus, seriously?
So, yeah. My love for this movie's still strong. Obviously XD
