katikatThis episode made me happy and sad at the same time, yet I enjoyed it immensely. Reminded me of Croatoan...
I'm glad that Grandpa Campbell is gone. That made me so happy! But I was sorry that Gwen died. She was kinda cool. And Rufus... I never liked him much but in this episode, he was A-awesome and I started to like him a lot - he was so funny and his puns were perfectly aimed! - only to watch him die. Aww, shucks! :(
But I loved Sam and Dean in this one, how they stuck together. Loved the scene where Sam detected the trip wire and saved Dean's life. And I loved the speech about family: "Just because you're blood, it doesn't make you family. You gotta earn that." And then later on, in the graveyard, when Dean told Bobby that it didn't matter what Bobby had done, that Rufus should've let it go because he and Rufus were family and family sticks together. I loved their "blanket" apology and clean slate. That was awesome.
Though I wonder why Mother sent the creature there, why it lured Sam and Dean there specifically. Or would any hunter have been enough? Or was Death right and the supernatural creatures know about Sam and Dean because they tend to bend natural order and create ripples?
