I liked Sara much better in this one - because she wasn't all over the place. If they had used her that way in the previous ep, I might have liked her better from the start. Oh well...

Loved all the scenes Peter and Neal had together. And that Kate was finally mentioned and actually "played" a part. I'm so curious about whom she called. And we finally learned why the plane exploded when it did, she tipped somebody off that Peter was there. Interesting.

And we learned that Mozzie was a foster home kid. You know, I think it's better to find out stuff like that, not have a whole episode just about one character.

What I didn't like was that a) Sara convinced the police to get a search warrant for Neal's studio despite the polygraph thing and that b) they found the package so fast. It was in a secret hiding place, after all. That was a bit lame.

Conclusion? Loved it much more than last week's ep and I'm really looking forward to next week!

I did like this week better too. Much less dark in tone. But I think last week's ep was kind of necessary, and the dark in it was necessary for the overall arc. I didn't hate it, but I did find this week more entertaining.

Mozzie. Mozzie, Mozzie, Mozzie, Moz. One of these days I'm going to write a story about G Callen, the chick from Haven, Richie Ryan, Mozzie and every other "I was a foster kid but never got adopted" character ever invented. I'm starting to think that people in other countries are going to think Americans have a law against adopting foster kids or something. That said, how much do I adore that Mozzie thought Neal took that case for him and his ilk? Mozzie was very sweet this ep, between that and him making it very clear to Neal that a.) he stole the tape for him because he thought he owed him in general and b.) that he'd be there for Neal when he was ready to listen to the tape - he wouldn't push him into it, but he'd be there when Neal was ready. He's much less of the neurotic little toady he was last season, which I'm *really* okay with.

I'm guessing that in a less tightly-paced show, the search at Neal's would have lasted longer, but they had an awful lot to do to try and drag that out. What surprised me was that Neal had absolutely no cover story for how he had it and what it was.

I loved Peter just telling Sarah, "Look, it's a Kate thing and we know we can't trust Neal to be sane when it comes to Kate, so please just cut him some slack. It's not going to do any damage to you to let this one slide." And she got major brownie points from me for doing it - for letting it go. I'm pretty sure last week's Sarah would have tried to trade the pressing charges and or the tape for the Raphael or something.

I was so sure they wouldn't play the tape this week. I was sure that was going to be the tension-maker that would carry us into next week. But yay! We got to hear it. And it makes Kate look even slimier to me. She was SO in cahoots with someone. She wasn't (just?) being manipulated.

Which leaves us with the question... if the plane was slated to be destroyed with Kate and presumably Neal in it, why would they have set it off early, knowing Neal wasn't in it, just because Peter was there? Don't want to risk also killing a (fellow?) fed? Can't risk Peter seeing something hinky on the plane if he followed Neal to the door?

Very curious... :)

I really loved that Peter's now advocating other people to give Neal some slack when it comes to Kate. Maybe because he sees himself in their place, all angry and frustrated at Neal before he learned what made him tick?

It's actually pretty ironic that Kate caused her own premature death. If she didn't call that person, she might not have even died, because Neal would have stayed and probably convinced her to stay with him.

I way also glad that Sara brought Neal the tape. I can now understand why she'll be helping him figure out who killed Kate and I can actually accept that. It doesn't make her any less tough or tenacious, she's simply less abrasive.
