katikatOkay, peeps, I'm curious. What do you think is the best atmospheric piece ever written in the SPN fandom - gen, slash, Wincest - a fic that gave you the creeps because of the way it was written or a real horror, goosebumps-giving stuff and all? A fic that just enthralled you with its atmosphere?
IMHO? "The Old Gods Return" by fleshflutter. Wincest. Summary: Sam and Dean are asked to retrieve a book that could wake up the old gods. But there's much more going on in the small seashore town... Xover with the world of H.P. Lovecraft. Length: ~16.000 words. Read the warnings!
Man, I wish I could write like that. The fic's amazing. The world building, the atmosphere... It's all pitch-perfect!
