I'm glad that we finally got an episode that wasn't just about the pretty but that really engaged me. I was spoiled so I knew that Dom wouldn't be found but it was still well done.

I loved that we were shown the team's reaction to Dominic's kidnapping. I'm glad that they didn't make Kensi a carbon copy of Ziva who would be all no-emotion in a case like this, I guess. I mean, Kensi's the only one with a family that was mentioned and it was nice to see the pictures on her fridge which suggested a big and close-knit family.

Another thing I loved was all the scenes with Callen and Sam. It was pretty well done, the difference between them. Sam wanted to go and bust heads. Callen was more jaded and world-weary. It did hit him pretty hard but there was no real emotional feedback because things like that happen...

Ah, and the beginning. Hetty noticing Nate's inebriated state. Callen and Sam arguing about karaoke! It's great to see that they are doing things together outside work as a team!

Sadly, apart from the very beginning and the very ending, I couldn't have been more disengaged from this ep. :( The writers just hadn't given me a reason to care enough about Dom to care that he was missing.

Sadly there isn't very much fic for this fandom yet. At least not on LJ. I can point you to a few of the fic comms, and if you've got a couple hours, it won't take long to wade through the little fic that has been posted.

I liked Dom a lot and I liked the way the ep was done. A nice mix of angst and action.

Yeah, she went back to Dom's house to do the dishes they'd found in the sink when they were there the first time. There's a drawing on the fridge that says 'Uncle Dom'.
