Flashpoint and SGA
Jul. 16th, 2008 10:28 amI finally watched last week's pilot of Flashpoint.
It was a good ep. I like the dynamics in the team. Though I do hope that they will go more with the action parts and not so much with the PTSD/broken/depressed route because that horse has been beaten to death in plethora of other shows.
I know that most fans probably watched it because of Hugh Dillon playing Ed Lane but since this was the first show that I've ever seen him in, I mostly decided to watch because of Enrico Colantoni, aka the amazing Keith Mars! It was also great to see Amy Jo Johnson and Phillip Akin again!
I think that I'll mostly keep watching because of Braddock's storyline though. I'm quite curious why he joined the team. It all looked rather secretive and hush-hush! :)
And its ratings surprised everybody. It airs on CBS, Friday 10 pm and it drew in 8.13 mil. viewers, 1.9/6 in demo. Awesome! I hope that the trend continues!
Oh yay! The promo for this week's SGA makes me literally drool! Is it Friday yet? Is it? Is it? *bounces*
And I just read an amazing, terrific SGA fic!
GEN --> "Raiders of the Seven Systems" by Martha Wilson. AU. John Sheppard leads a crew of Athosian space pirates in the Pegasus Galaxy. They rescue Earth refugees Rodney McKay and Sam Carter, but then things get complicated. Nobody writes a SGA/SG-1 crossover better than Martha. It's just wow! Words: 30.000+!
