* According to Variety.com, the fall season on the CW will start on September 1st!

* The same article also talks about Reaper: "For midseason, CW picked up 13 more episodes of "Reaper," a decision Ostroff said came after execs were encouraged by some of the show's post-strike tweaks. Show will evolve next year to be more relationship-oriented and will also develop more of a mythology as opposed to the villain-of-the-week conceit." Uh, "more relationship-oriented"? Why do I smell rotten apples? Didn't Ostroff press Veronica Mars to be "more relationship-oriented", love interests etc.? And look how it ended...

* I just found out that K. Hanna Korossy, one of my favorite Supernatural gen authors, writes also Sheppard!whumpage for Stargate: Atlantis *coos*

* Also, I love what TheFutonCritic says about Supernatural: "On Thursday, the heroic team of SMALLVILLE and SUPERNATURAL will continue to offer viewers great special effects and gorgeous men. From 8:00-9:00 p.m., SMALLVILLE was The CW's most-watched and highest-rated scripted series in total viewers and adults 18-49 last season. In the 9:00-10:00 p.m. hour, SUPERNATURAL is The CW's third most-watched scripted program, despite the highly competitive timeslot."

* According to Nikki Finke, there is a chance that MRC that bought the CW's Sundays, could pick up Moonlight and air it there!

* Final numbers for Monday:
Gossip Girl: fast nationals 2.64 mil., 1.2/3; final ratings 2.71 mil., 1.2/3
One Tree Hill: fast nationals 2.65 mil., 1.2/3; final ratings 2.72 mil., 1.2/3
Bones: fast nationals 9.42 mil., 3.2/9; final ratings 9.68 mil., 3.3/9
House: fast nationals 14.84 mil., 5.8/14; final ratings 15.02 mil., 5.9/14

I fear that after this week, SPN won't be the Nr. 2 or 3 scripted show on the CW anymore. I would adore for SPN to get a bump up in the ratings but I fear that it won't happen :( - May sweeps against CSI and Grey's Anatomy? I just hope that the ratings won't drop. THAT would be aweful *sigh*

* I can't believe that I found someone that actually knows Martha Grimes' Richard Jury novels! *hugs [livejournal.com profile] tinx_r*

That's awesome that the fall season will start on September 1st. That's way earlier than last year.

It's kind of comforting to know that even the big shows like Grey's and CSI have lost ground this year since the strike, but still. U[ against them I don't think our poor little show it really going to make much of a dent in the ratings :~(

well Moonlight is a CBS show (It may be owned by Parimount - but same dif) CBS cancles and uncancles shows - so e-mail and complian they may bring it back - or since it is cbs adn CW and CBS are owned by the same company... personaly I thought that Superntural was a perfict fit in the 9 pm Friday CBS slot - I even sent them a letter about it - and we got Moonlight (I guess they read it as 'a superntural show' not 'the show supernatural'

Yes, I'm really happy about that too. I mean, that way, the season premiere of SPN won't - hopefully *crosses fingers* - bomb like it usually does with CSI and GA and The Office premiering too.

Yes, that's the one thing that comforts me. Otherwise it would be too depressing, really. Even Lost took a HUGE drop in ratings!

Yes, it's a CBS show, but it's produced by the WB so maybe the CW would be a better network for it anyway, being the WB's "home" network. But I'm happy that they air SPN on the CW. The CW accepts even shows with mediocre ratings whereas the big networks cancels them like whoa X(

the flip side of that is that the 'real networks' get more viewers. CW isn't even in all the homes it was in back when it was WB - i think it would do well on CBS becasue it hits the CBS demigraphic, but then again it dosn't really matter, since Kipke is only going to do 5 seasons so switching networks after 4 would be silly.
