1x10, Asylum: Wow, watching this one, I was eerily reminded of a certain S4 ep, you know, the one with the siren. It was this ep all over again, the boys saying bad things to each other and letting them fester. Ouch! Dean's "You hate me that much?" broke my heart :(

1x11, Scarecrow: Yikes! Scarecrows are scary. And the boys keep broking my heart. Like Dean's "I'm proud of you, Sammy." *sniff* And Nicki Aycox - I don't know what people see in her, her acting is way too affected for my liking. I think she's overplaying her part and it's quite annoying, IMHO.

1x12, Faith: For me, this ep was all about Sam and Dean and their relationship. Even this early in the show, they were willing to go to great lengths to save each other's life. And it'll get even worse. Yikes! But I loved Julie Benz as Layla. Her gentle acceptance, the way she stroke Dean's hair...

"Faith" is the episode that made me see Sam under a new light and that's really when I started liking him.

And I loved Julie Benz in that role too. Then again, I love her in all her roles, I just love that actress!

Faith is still my favorite episode. Everything worked in that one for me. It's also the one that made me feel Sam and Dean's bond the strongest. Add 'Don't Fear the Reaper' by BOC, and I was in heaven. ^_^

The girl that played Meg didn't bother me, but the way she was written did, a little. They tried too hard to make her a smartass. I like Kate (the vampire in Dead Man's Blood) much better.

Yeah, I would say that Faith was the beginning of them doing anything for each other. I bet that Sam would have brought Dean to the faith healer even if he knew how Granger was actually healing people.

I'm not a big fan of Julie Benz, she usually plays rather meek characters, I prefer fiery women, but this role fit her perfectly.

It's true that in Faith I basically felt for the first time that Sam does love his brother a LOT, that it's not just Dean loving Sam, that their bond isn't a one-way street.

And I agree that the writers know how to write the one-ep female characters, but recurring females kinda escape them.
