NCIS and The Mentalist

katikatThat was awesome! No, really. I didn't think that I would enjoy an episode about Ducky so much - don't get me wrong, I love Ducky, but I didn't think that this episode would be so nerve-wrecking!
* I love Ducky's house, very old-fashioned :)
* Gibbs is like a dog with a bone when someone is threatening his team - or someone's not telling him the truth/everything he wants to know XP
* Trent! Great that they keep bringing him back. And wow, a file about Vance O.O It's awesome that the writers don't simply drop plots!
* Torri Higginson as Jordan is awesome! I was mostly so-so about her on SGA but I love her here. Even though there is a huge age difference between her and Ducky, I love them as a pairing. She's so nice and sweet with him :)
* I loved the scene with Abby and Jimmy in the hospital. She was so calm, refusing to freak out! I need to make an icon of that. She looked hot in that scene \o/
Ratings: 18.62 mil., 3.7/9 demo
* Cho is superstitious! Ha XP And Patrick had to rub it in, of course! But he did make it up for him in the end. Aww...
* I loved it that Patrick kept digging and digging, refusing to believe that everything was great and awesome about the family. His little chat with the boy in the barn was cute :)
* The scenes with Rigsby and Van Pelt were funny XP
* Patrick so abhors abusive parents! You could fairly feel how disgusted and angry he was!
* Too little Theresa time. On the other hand, I don't know where they could have squeezed it in, because the episode was just full of awesome \o/
Ratings: 18.07, 3.8/9
Marc Berman congratulated both NCIS and The Mentalist on their success - they are the only two shows on TV right now that can take it up with American Idol!
Also:
* The Gossip Girl spin-off is really happening? Are they crazy? I would call the show a "moderate success" if at all! I mean, it draws in barely 3 mil. viewers! I mean, I love Supernatural but I wouldn't make a spin-off of that show - objectively, it's not successful enough. Sheesh, the CW is really grasping at straws *shakes head*
* The NCIS spin-off is really happening! But please, tell me that it's just a coincidence that Moonlight's Alex O'Loughlin's name is mentioned in the same article! He's all good and nice as a dark, brooding character but I just don't see him in a fun and quirky show that I hope the spin-off will be!
* Katie Cassidy's take on why she left Supernatural: "Warner Bros. wasn't exactly sure what they were going to be doing with my character, and I had the option to stay or leave. When Harper's Island came about, I was really into it, so I asked them to let me go. Luckily, they did." So yeah, I hope the whole "Kripke succumbed to his fans' wishes" nonsense will stop now!
