OMG, OMG, OMG! Did you see NCIS and The Mentalist's ratings for this week?

NCIS: last week 18.16 mil., 3.7/10 --> this week 18.54 mil., 3.7/10
The Mentalist: last week 15.91 mil., 3.6/9 --> this week 18.77 mil., 3.8/9

OMG! That's almost plus 3 mil., week-to-week, for TM! \o/

And on the book front...

Work: I'm 14 pages shy of finishing the translation of Douglass' "StarMan". Editing, here I come. Yippee. Not *head/desk*
Fun: 30 pages and I'm done with Ilona Andrews' "Magic Burns", the second installment of her Kate Daniels series. Then, I think I will take the 4th part of Ally Blue's "Bay City Paranormal Investigations".

Why don't shows I watch ever get ratings like that?!

Did you hear the news about Sara Douglass? That she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer? Not good.

Hehe, I'm so happy that both NCIS and TM are doing so well in the ratings. That's two shows less that I need to worry about XP

And nope, I didn't know that about Douglass :( That's awful.

I'm still spitting nails about Pushing Daisies :(

Someone on my f-list (another Australian fantasy writer, as it happens, Karen Miller) posted about Douglass. She posted the news on her blog just recently:
http://www.saradouglass.com/announce.html

I've never read any of Douglass's books, but I feel sorry for anyone diagnosed with such an awful illness :(

I guess this means I don't have to worry about it being canceled, huh? :)

Definitely not! It's the Nr. 1 newbie hit of the season :) At least some good news, huh? *dances*

Speaking of Ally Blue, have you read Forgotten Song?

Nope, not yet. I have it in ebook form, though :) So many books, so little time...

Is it in your queue to be read soon? I'm sort of curious to hear what you think of it.

Not really. I want to finish Ally Blue's Bay City 4 and 5 first but the summary sounds awesome. Did you read it already?

Nope, not yet. But it's like, third on my list to be read? The name of the author in your post pinged my brain. So I thought I'd ask. I've been looking forwards to it.

This book (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3214699.Snow_Angel) sounds really interesting too!

Oooh. Purty. Shiny. Shiny shiny. I'm gonna go ahead and add that to my list too.

I have a terrible weakness for "from friends to lovers" type of stories *nodsnods*

I tend to have more of a weakness for angsty, tortured boys against all odds, but this one's appealing to me. I'll have to see how this turns out.
