Bones 401+402

I finally, finally watched the premiere of Bones S4, and let me tell you, I have so many issues with these episodes...

Booth behaved like a total moron, especially in the first part. I have yet to see him behaving more idiotically. He was such a jerk to everyone, he was so high and mighty because he was American and them just British! I wanted to smack him silly for that! X(

I so do not care about Angela and Hodgins' love life. They are turning the lab into a dating central, who sleeps with whom, who has an affair with whom. No wonder that the young doctor quit. I would too. I liked Angela and Hodgins as a couple, I really did and I just hate it when TPTB decide to put more tension into a series by splitting relationships. That's why I hate it when regular characters get into a relationship. When they inevitably split, you get a huge mess.

There were only two positive things about the premiere:
a) Michael Brandon as Roger Frampton - I loved him on Dempsey and Makepeace!
b) Indira Varma as Pritch - she was awesome on Torchwood.

Other than that, pretty much meh :( I hope that this show will perk my interest soon because I would hate to drop it like so many others this season!

And I started reading Naomi Novik's "His Majesty's Dragon", the first book in the "Temeraire" series. I hear people praising it all around. Here, in the Czech Republic, it was pretty much a flop, but I trust the foreign reviews more than the Czech ones because they match my taste better.

Indira Varma as Pritch

*slaps forehead* She seemed so familiar but I couldn't place her. Now I read the name, she was Vorenus' wife on Rome.

With Booth, well, they very much overdid the fish out of water effect. I mean the guy was on secret missions in much moe foreign cultures. As if he did not knew how to adapt and blend more.

Maybe it was the version on an American writer where he hopes how he could behave in the UK.

I really like Indira Varma. I saw her first in Rome, but she was even better in Torchwood.

The first two episodes this season were bad, but the next two were really good (especially the last one). The Jack-Angela relationship problems were downplayed. There's a scene between Jack and Sweets in the last episode that's now one of my favorite Bones scenes, ever. Just try to forget these two episodes. Trust me.

The first thing I said to my bones was buddy was 'Culturally inept *much* Booth?' It was just too much. Although I liked those two episodes than the ones that preceded it. As my friend said about the next epi, the first fifteen minutes were the visual equivalent of a poo joke. >< And then they're starting to make Sweets more and more immature and just... yeah.

I was so happy to see Indira though! She's so lovely and awesome. I entertained myself with the pretty of all the actors. =D

I'm probably one of only two people who never saw Rome - nor have I an intentions to watch it. No interest. Studying history killed my interest in anything historical *shudders*

They were so over the top with Booth. They turned it into a slapstick comedy. It was just icky!

I hope that you are right. I always liked Bones, it was never a huge hit for me but it was an interesting "cop show". I would hate if it lost me :(

I'm curious about Jack and Sweets. You know, I think that it would be awesome if they maybe made those two a ship. That would be cool and very original! ;P

The whole Booth thing totally ruined what *could* have been an interesting case. It was rather disgusting.

I was so happy to see Michael Brandon on a show again! I had a huge crush on him when I was a kid :P
