And just for the record - I do not think that Supernatural is misogynist, sexist or racist or any other crap and you will find no sympathy for this nonsense in my LJ!

The viewing figures are amazing. If only they could hold steady for the whole season. I mean, the Big Guns of other networks aren't back yet, are they - GA and whatnot. So once those return SN is bound to falter. But if they could just hang on to that 3mill...

I really hope that they will keep their 3 mil. viewers. A drop to previous season's numbers would be even more painful now that the premiere was such a huge hit. Though I fear that once the big shows are back, the ratings will drop like a stone - but I can still hope and pray for good numbers ;)

Date: 2008-09-20 05:58 pm (UTC)I do wish we would see a positive image of a black man - who dosn't die. I am hopeing for that with Rufas. (Or like I said with SGU - a Natave American, or a Hispanic) That being said - the show is Midwestern - the Midwest is pritty white bread.

Date: 2008-09-21 08:59 am (UTC)I wouldn't mind more people of color on the show either - be it Native or African Americans, Hispanic people or Chinese/Japanese - but I won't call the show racist just because they don't introduce them. Such generalization is dumb, IMHO.

Date: 2008-09-21 12:18 pm (UTC)I don't think the complaint is that they aren't introduced so much as the way they end up. but then again everyone is going to have a difereint opinion on that.
