Joe Penny really did do an awesome job of that episode, huh.

The beginning of that ep, IMO, is *extremely* Nick/Cody slashy. But once we get into the story, this episode, for me, is pretty much canon-slash free. (shame)

But what makes that so interesting is that in normal "life" that we see, Cody and Nick can't peel themselves off each other, yet when Nick is in the particularly conflicted and hurt space he is in this whole episode, Cody can't seem to work out how to get close to him.

It's not that Cody isn't there for him, because he's actually doing a better job of being supportive and listening than we've ever seen him do before. But he isn't cuddling him. Or even sitting next to him.

What I think? They both know that if they touch they're not going to be able not to kiss, so they're saving it for the stateroom this episode.
