The bad first:

So, Streamload became MediaMax became TheLinkUp. And in the move, they lost a good 50% of my data. And not only that. Now, the plan that I chose - it used to be approximately 45 bucks a year - allows only 25GB of data storage while it used to be unlimited storage. Well, my dear TheLinkUp, go and screw yourself. At the end of the year, I'm outta there!

The good now:

Last night, I watched the commented pilot of Stargate: Atlantis. It was so good! I didn't know that Joe Flanigan can actually fly a helicopter! Wow.

Also, some awesome scenes in the pilot:

John: "Well, that was different."
Jack: "For me... not so much."

Jack: "Warm welcome."
Daniel: "It wasn't me!"

Daniel: "He's Canadian."
Jack: "I'm sorry."

Jack: "Didn't I tell you not to touch anything?"
John: "I just sat down!"

Jack to Daniel: "Let's get to the part where you talk really fast."

Jack to McKay: "Well, that was a waste of a perfectly good explanation."

Rodney: "Even with the 6 symbols that Lt. Ford saw, there's hundreds of permutations..."
John: "720."
Rodney: "Well... I knew that, I'm just surprised that you do."

Awesome! I'm so happy that I bought this series on DVD! *bounces*

That sucks that they did that. I would leave, too.

Since The Linkup is still moving files, I'm not ready to give up on them just yet. I'm hoping they'll eventually move all my files, after which I plan to delete a lot of things. I mainly want it to backup the anime I've burned to DVD, in case any of my DVDs stop working.

I'm going to check out JungleDisk (http://www.jungledisk.com/), too. I'm thinking of uploading all the new anime I'm watching this season to that site, to compare. They're affiliated with Amazon, and I've had no problems with them (Amazon) so far.

Yes, but they are moving the files since April the 25th or so, aren't they? *shakes head* And only 25GB storage for 60 bucks a year. That's ridiculous.

I was thinking about trying some other place. I know that [livejournal.com profile] michalyn tried out a couple of them and found one that she's rather happy with. I will have to ask which one she chose. I need it mostly to back-up my work since I pay for uploads the same amount of money as for downloads so it doesn't pay off for me to upload bigger files anyway.
