There was something weird about this episode. Maybe because there was less humor? Or maybe because we were thrown right in the middle of the case? Who knows. I'm not saying that it was bad or worse than usually, just that it was weird.

Oh, Cote's make-up in this ep was great. I mean, the smudges under Ziva's eyes, her sallow skin... Wow, that looked so real.

I read some reviews that viewers posted and I have to say that I disagree with them saying that Tony was jealous of Ziva's new boyfriend. He was not. But he knew what it felt like to get emotionally attached during a case and how much trouble that could cause. He was trying to do exactly what he said he was doing: trying to snap Ziva out of it before it was too late.

There are promo stills for House, eps 4x15 and 4x16 - beware of spoilers of course - here, here and here.

And there is a gossipy interview that Kristin E! did with Eric Kripke - again, beware of spoilers! Kripke is a darling! XD

As much as it pains me to say it, this whole season of SPN feels way off. I was so sure that this season, them trying to find a way out of the deal, would be awesome, that the new eps about demons would be awesome and it just... feels flat, IMO. I hope that they will solve Dean's deal somehow in the season finale. We need to finish this story line and move on in S4. I adore Dean!angst but I think that they are already dragging it out way too long - or at least it seems so with one endless hiatus after the other. I know that it's all the strike's fault. The writers had to cut out 6 eps and it shows. I don't blame them. It's just... the season feels scattered, all over the place, the urban legends are not the focus of the show anymore... I don't know *hands*

But I'm still looking forward to the season finale, of course! *bounces* These last two eps will be angst pure, that's for sure. Also, those who read spoilers for tonight's ep surely know why I'm excited about it! ;)

I started reading Joshua Palmatier's "The Cracked Throne". I really needed a change of pace after the manga and contemporary paranormal books. And it's been a long time since I read a fantasy book just for pleasure and not because it was a part of my job :)

Forgive me, but after reading the comments in that one House comm, I have to laugh at how ridiculous some of the shippers are. *rolls eyes*

This season hasn't been easy on anyone: the makers of the show or the fans. :( It has been very disjointed. I'm trying really hard not to be frustrated about that, or about the fact that we have been robbed of 6 episodes and that the development and plotline have had to be compacted. It just can't be helped, alas.

And they are certainly a long way from where they started out! I frequently feel nostalgic for the simpler, more innocent days of season one, which was positively fluffy in comparison to what we get now! But it is better for the show to remain dynamic and allow the characters and plot to grow and develop as they go along, rather than keeping them static always. So...one of those six of one, half dozen of the other situations. Have to take the good with the bad!

I know no spoilers, and am happy with that. *G* Your vagueness now has me guessing, because I can think of one thing that would definitely make you bounce like that! I daresay I'll find out tomorrow!

I haven't seen anything since the writers strike, but I also feel that this season of SPN has been a little off. It's like they lost their direction for a while there and only just got it back when they went on strike. I am looking forward to seeing the remainder of the season, and just hope that they can pull their socks up next year.

I think season 3 of Supernatural was off, too. I miss the urban legends and I miss something I can really pinpoint but it is lacking. I love my show to death but still I was hoping for more.

No spoilers for me!! *plugs ears&humms* Lalalalala... LOL, but I do agree that S3 has been... off-balance. I think that lower S4 budget will be good for the show, get us back to a more S1 feeling. I hope! *crosses fingers*

Hehe, and I thought that the SPN fandom was obsessed. I mean, sheesh. Huddy, Hameron, Hilson... *giggles* I just don't get it. Sure, I like watching House and Wilson bicker but that's all :D

Exactly. I think that the show got too involved in the mythology. It feels more and more like a serialized drama. Maybe it would be better to step back a bit and go back to the MOTW with a touch of mythology only. Maybe that's the reason why no new viewers can get into it, because it's rather complicated to understand who with whom and why. It's kind hard for me to get the fact that Kripke was convinced that this would be the best season ever. Hm...

To me, it feels like kept trying out new things, especially to work in the new characters, and it just didn't work out as it could have. I liked the last couple of pre-strike eps best, especially Mystery Spot and Jus in Belo.

Exactly. It's rather hard to describe but there's just something... missing. Maybe it was the new characters? The fact that they tried hard to work them in? Or maybe because they substituted gore for scare? Who knows...

I really hope so *crosses fingers* I hope that Kripke will stop planning out a full-out war and will go back to urban legends and more scare? *crosses fingers some more*

I agree this season has seemed off to me too. Although in my opinion it did have some of the best episodes of the series so far, A Very Supernatural Christmas and Mystery Spot come to mind. But several of them fell flat for me this season too. The season as a whole has just felt kind of unbalanced if you ask me.

So true. Mystery Spot is probably my favorite episode ever. And it has totally nothing to do with hurt!Dean and emo!Sam. Nothing at all *innocent*
