Supernatural 3x14: Long Distance Call
May. 2nd, 2008 11:31 amPst, I should be actually working...
Jeremy Carver wins at life. He wrote my favorite eps this season *nods* And Robert Singer does the character scenes so well!
This episode was, IMO, awesome, definitely better than last week's. And the last scene of the ep was so incredibly touching that I had tears in my eyes. Dean admitted that he was scared of going to Hell, of spending eternity down there, and he admitted it to Sam! When Dean said that he so desperately wanted to believe that there was a chance to save him but now he realized that there wouldn't be any last second rescue... That broke my heart :'(

Date: 2008-05-02 10:50 am (UTC)I'm still gathering thoughts on the episode, what with my brain being half-dead this morning. My first reaction, while watching, was that the plot wasn't structured as well as last week, but that the character stuff more than made up for it. Oh, boys. Man, Dean's been staying so calm lately, living in the now, not letting himself think about what's ahead, but the moment he got the phone call from NotJohn all that came crashing down, because as much as he's come to terms with John and his flaws, there's still that part of him that believes his Dad is a superhero and can fix anything, and just...gah.
He doesn't believe Sam can save him. That much is pretty obvious. Poor Sam.

Date: 2008-05-02 10:55 am (UTC)I definitely liked this episode better than last week's. I prefer angst to parodies. I don't find parodies funny that's why for me, last week's ep was more cringe-worthy than funny.
I think that Dean was pretending to be all calm and collected, but then a glimmer of hope appeared. I think it shows how terrified he truly is.
