I know that there are fans of Gossip Girl on my flist so...

Gossip Girl - Season Returns Poster

The posters are... interesting. I don't watch the show - teeny soap operas kinda don't get me anymore - but those do look... hot. Too bad that the CW isn't promoting SPN in a similar way. THAT would get them all the female audience they desire so much XP

Do they really say OMFG on them like that? Or was that added by someone else. I can't hardly believe they could get away with that. I know it's just an abbreviation or whatever... and I totally sound like an affronted mother or something, which I'm definitely not. God knows I say the actual words at least a hundred times a day. It just looks strange to see it.

Sorry I'm rambling. I don't even watch the show. lol

It really does say OMFG. Though mostly, it'll be OMG. The OMFG version will be posted only in "selected locations", as Ausiello said here (http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Ausiello-Report/Ausiello-Scoop-Sneak/800037144).

Hehe, and I don't watch that show either. I used to like BH90210 or Melrose Place but that's really long ago. Now, I very much prefer cop/mystery/supernatural/sci-fi shows...

I thought the same thing. They do look like they kinda tacked onto these photos as an afterthought. The words don't even really work with those images. And the images are old too so it's not really a shock and doesn't deserve an "omfg"

i just dun get it

According to Ausiello, it truly is an official poster, the OMFG and all...

Yeah, I'm way, way past that kind of show now - doesn't even blip on my radar.

That kind of publicity for SN, though, that would be amazing. Over here, ITV makes fabulous adverts for the show...but then barely uses them. Bah.

haha, it's not that I doubt the officialness. I just think that the words really don't match the pic. The pic in itself I think is really hot. the "omfg" just makes me want to interpret it differently :/

Yeah I kind of swore off the WB/CW shows after Buffy, Angel, and Roswell ended because they were all teen angsty dramas like Dawson's Creek/One Tree Hill type shows. I almost missed out on Supernatural because of my prejudice of the network. I did find it though, thank goodness and it's my one exception for the network. But generally I also prefer the cop/mystery/supernatural/sci-fi type shows.

I just don't get it. On the one hand, they try to appeal to people through sexuality by adding two new young female characters to the cast of SPN, on the other hand, they totally waste the sexual potential of the characters that they already have. It's quite... mind boggling *scratches head*

Wow, those are interesting posters, lol.

Yeah, I never got into that one, either.

They are. Though they do look more like a promo for Basic Instinct 3.5 and not a teen soap opera ;P

Those posters look okay. Not so great, but I can deal. The new commercials, however? SUCK. It's all sex sex sex... they literally say "sex" ten thousand times. o__O Like... what.

Yeah, especially when you consider that these are teens. I mean, I know that teens have lotsa lotsa sex, sometimes more than the adults, but this seems a bit over the top, like a promo for child porn X(

The most intruiging thing is that one of the boys is supposed to be coming out of the closet (although it's probably to much to hope they'd introduce a good bi character). So the posters with the het? Interesting indeed.

I think that there were some gay characters in the books, too *scratches head* I didn't read them but from what people talked about...

Thought the posters are a bit weird when you realize that they promote a teen soap opera. Hm, it's more like Basic Instinct 3.5 XP
