Obviously, in the ep 3x10 the almighty, gorgeous, irresistible, super-intelligent, whatever-Mary-Sue Bela will...
a) steal the colt and
b) Sam will have a hot steamy dream about her.
I can hear the boys' IQ dropping. First she steals their most precious possession and then Sam dreams about the woman who shot him, was ready to let them die and sent a madman after them. The guy to whom sex is something very precious will dream about this hussy.
I thought that this episode would be cool but obviously, it'll be another Red Sky with Bela being the amazing thief who "has style". Oh god, Kripke should wash his own mouth with soap because he is a damn lying liar who lies.

Date: 2008-01-22 02:43 pm (UTC)I mean, Kripke said that they learned from their mistakes - aka Red Sky - and what happens? Wet dreams about Bela. I have the feeling that Kripke would say anything these days to shut the fans up.

Date: 2008-01-22 03:16 pm (UTC)However my cost-cutting scenario: she steals the Colt while the brothers are caught in the dreamscape and therefore defenseless. Her magical, omniscient talking board told her where it is.
Furthermore this dream-thing is either a very wonky nightmare and "particularly lustful" in that vein means Sam dreams of putting his hands around her neck and squeezing while having multiple orgasms. *g*
OR that got mixed up and Dean has a lustful dream about Lisa, Ben`s mother.
As long as frakkin Dean doesn`t have lustful dreams about her. I`m sorry for Sam, I am but Dean has so litte, he deserves that little mercy.
My greatest hope right now? Cathryn Humphries wrote the episode and last Season she managed to write the only good Jo there was. And she usually does try to make the boys look smart and competent so please.
Thank god Gamble dropped out of it. Otherwise no chance. Mary Sue Erotica, here we come.

Date: 2008-01-22 03:20 pm (UTC)I always liked Dean being portrayed as a virile male with a healthy sex drive, network TV can be so damn prude about that, who is all about the mutual fun. And with his lifestyle and high-stress/danger job it makes sense he needs to release steam every now and then in life`s simple pleasures.
So if Bela had many one-night-stands I wouldn`t care. That she uses her sexuality is a cliché but not unexpected.
Where it gets a problem for me is when the heroes of the show fall for that obvious ploy. When their downstairs brains override their previously established character traits, integrity, smarts etc. Hence my no-way to angry sex.
So please she can wiggle her stuff all she wants but the brothers shouldn`t have their IQs dropped by it.

Date: 2008-01-22 04:02 pm (UTC)And Sam? After being shot, robbed and basically left stranded fighting the ghost ship, he still thought that "she has style". Na phui! X(
They are laying it so thick that they are turning me off. And what makes me especially angry is the fact that obviously, Kripke is lying through his teeth about Bela and her purpose on the show. Because either is she a succubus or a sex object/love interest. There is no other way to explain that.

Date: 2008-01-22 04:07 pm (UTC)But I really hate both of these spoilers. It feels like the Winchesters' IQ is hitting rock bottom this season. And I also hate that Kripke knew that Red Sky would be bad - he disliked the episode before it aired - and then he pulled off something like that. If it was a comic book, it would carry the title "The Amazing Bela Strikes Again". Yuck! I just hope that they will seriously reconsider Bela's part on the show during the strike.

Date: 2008-01-22 04:10 pm (UTC)He should have smiled widely and told her he`d rather bang a slime demon. :) In my perfect world he did.
I feel embarrassed on his behalf.
I did so almost the whole episode.
And Sam? After being shot, robbed and basically left stranded fighting the ghost ship, he still thought that "she has style". Na phui! X(
Yeah, it was like "see audience, she HAS style, Dean and Sam think so too". Urgh.
Because either is she a succubus or a sex object/love interest. There is no other way to explain that.
While I think the biggest purpose network-wise was simply to have her be T&A the writers could have still worked with their antagonist angle. Instead they tried to create an unnatural hybrid of a character that will not work: the adorable antagonist.
Her actions = clear human evil
Her treatment = cutesy little "aww, she ain`t so bad"
Result: whiplash.
Not to mention that her competence arises directly from the incompetence of others. Woohoo. The writing for her is a disaster all around.

Date: 2008-01-22 04:13 pm (UTC)And another thing I don't get is how the fans can say that Cohan is a better actress than Cassidy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Cassidy is Oscar material but come on. Cohan is so overdoing that deranged laughter of Bela and her misunderstood, tearful Bela didn't convince me at all.
