Blood Engines
Jan. 17th, 2008 10:13 amI've started reading "Blood Engines" by T. A. Pratt. The beginning was rather slow and I still don't know what to think of Marla and Rondeau but there are some awesome quotes there that completely make up for it:
Marla about tourists in SF's Castro district: "Small-minded bastards want to see the modern homosexual in his natural habitat?"
Marla about sleeping with men and women too: After you'd mated once or twice with the supernatural, mere differences in genitalia seemed irrelevant - humans were at least all built along the same lines, with the same basic nerve endings, just in different configurations.
XD
