Work and Jared Padalecki
Jun. 18th, 2007 09:42 amToday, I'll start working on R. A. Salvatore's "Exile", the second book in the Drizzt Do'Urden series. I decided to let the translation of the first book, "Homeland", be for a bit, then return back to it and correct the mistakes. I have to distance myself from the original to correct my stylistic. And besides, I just don't see the mistakes I made if I correct it immediately after finishing the translation. So there :)
Hm, Jared Padalecki canceled his appearance at the Muchmusic (or whatever it's called) award show. This is the second time he canceled his attendance. As much as I love him and as much as I know that he certainly had a good reason to do it, it doesn't add to his credibility in the eyes of his fans. I would be mighty nervous if I planned to attend a con where he should appear as a guest. I wouldn't count too much on him being there - which is really sad because otherwise, he seems like an incredibly, incredibly nice guy :(
ETA: Heh, I was just translating R. A. Salvatore's biography when it hit me - he attended the Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where Sam and Dean killed the shtriga in "Something Wicked"! :D Yes, I'm shallow... :P
ETA2: Heh, looks like it was Fitchburg alright, but in Wisconsin not in Massachusetts :D You have way too many towns with the same names, folks, really :D Thank you for the correction,
lostandalone22!
