katikat | DVD: Mr & Mrs Smith (Reply)

I decided I had to make a dent into the piles of unwatched DVDs I have sitting, well, basically everywhere. And thus, Mr & Mrs Smith it was.

You know, I didn't realize that the movie was written by Simon Kinberg, he of the X-Men fame. Curious. But the movie itself wasn't as good as I remembered it. Yeah, it's a fun action comedy that rests entirely on the chemistry between the leads - but I missed something deeper than just sexual attraction between them. I mean, I get that it's a comedy, but... There were moments here and there, but remember Undercover Blues with Dennis Quaid and Kathleen Turner? Another spy couple comedy but the Blues had so much love for each other and their child... I missed that here.

So, that's one movie down. Let's see if I can watch another... 9 in the next 9 days? 10 movies in total? That should make a slight dent into my stocks - a very slight one! Yes, I'm a hoarder.
