katikatSince I need to catch up on W13 and I didn't remember where I stopped watching, I decided to just go back and watch it from where it got really good - meaning, from the introduction of Steve Jinks in episode 301. Season 2 is like Voldemort for me - never to be spoken of and quietly forgotten that it ever existed.
So, season 3. Even this season had its duds - like the VR episode *cringes in literal pain* - but overall, it was a huge step in the right direction, mostly thanks to the wonderful Jinksy and his friendship with Claudia Donovan. Gosh, these two... Mwah! \o/
Though the best, most touching but also most painful scenes happened in the two part season finale...
- Steve's death and all that lead up to it: his talk with Claudia in the woods, the reveal that he was undercover, the 'Running Up That Hill' song playing while the team discovered his body, Claudia's reaction...
- The destruction of the warehouse. Wow, HG's "I smell apples..." The slow-mo explosion that wiped out the warehouse... That hit me right in the feels. It was so well done, the special effects, the music, everybody's reaction... just fantastic!
And I'm done with W13 S3. What now...?
