Sherlock 302

katikatGosh, I loved this episode. I mean, not as much as The Empty Hearse, but out of all the middle episodes so far, I liked The Sign of Three best. It was funny, hilariously so in some places, but the case was so intriguing, everything was so connected, the twists so unexpected. And can I say just how much I love Mary and the whole Sherlock-John-Mary interplay? It's lovely, so, so lovely... And, seriously, if someone dares to tell me now that Sherlock does not love John Watson, I will literally smack them over the head with this episode!
I wonder how they came up with that phrase, Vatican cameos...
So many great scenes:
* Mary in general. The way she pushed the boys together. Her ICKY reaction to the wine. Her joining them and helping solve the case. The reveal of her pregnancy.
* Mrs. Hudson talking about her dead husband, LOL!
* Sherlock composing the waltz and playing it for John and Mary, then leaving the sheet for them, aww...
* John asking Sherlock to his best man. Sherlock's reaction. John's reaction to Sherlock's reaction. The eye in the tea! The way it went PLOP! LOL!
* The whole speech! The tears in John's eyes when Sherlock talked about how much he loved him...
* The murder! That was genius, literally genius!
* Hamish! LOL, the whole montage was hilarious!
* The three of them planning the wedding in Sherlock's flat!
* Sherlock's vow. That was beautiful. And it will come back and bite him in the ass, that's for sure.
* But I felt really sad for Sherlock at the same time. He tried so hard to pretend that everything was okay. He didn't want John and Mary to worry. And then, when he admitted he loved dancing, and the bridesmaid found someone else to dance with... his disappointment hurt so much. And only Molly noticed. So yeah, it was a funny episode and yet... this had the biggest impact on me. Ouch.
* The only thing I didn't like was the drunk scene. Not because it was bad, it was just way too long.
