MMM: #17 Hellboy

Ah, Ron Perlman, how much I love him, let me count the ways! Gosh, he's awesome. I loved him as Josiah in M7 and basically in everything I've seen him so far. He's just perfect. And the main bad guy, Rasputin? Played by one of the most famous Czech actors, Karel Roden! He has been in so many blockbusters already! And Selma Blair looked so, so pretty here... \o/

What really got me, though, what I really loved, were the characters. All of them. Literally. Hellboy, John Meyers, Hellboy's father, Liz, Abe... They were a family, a true family. And it was awesome. I think that's why I like the film so much. Oh, the action scenes are great, just like the special effects, but it was the characters that really grabbed me.

Which reminds me, I need to get the second movie on DVD. Though I have to say that it's too bad that John Meyers isn't in it anymore. That's the only thing I didn't like about movie #2. Gimme back Meyers! I loved his friendship with Red in movie #1!
