"Immortal in Death (In Death #3)" by J.D. Robb

Rating: ♦ ♦ ♦

Following the rules of every well written mystery - the culprit must be one of the characters we get to know during the course of the investigation - it was very easy to figure out who did it. Luckily, I liked the characters - Eve, Roarke, Peabody, Feeney... - a lot, so I didn't really mind. What I did mind were the unexpected jumps in the POV. From one paragraph to another, a complete switch, from Eve to Roarke and back and similar. Quite confusing.

"Sideways and Slantways and Longways and Backways" by hologramophone, read by striped_bowties | AU | Derek/Stiles | Elevator AU! | 53min.

“I called you a slave-driver!” Stiles cried hysterically. “I called you an ogre! I stole all the blue paperclips!”

Derek raised an eyebrow at him.

“That’s company property!” he shouted, waving his arms madly in distress.

Derek ran a hand over his face. “It’s not theft if the vice president of the company gives you permission.”

LOL! Just... LOL!

Favorite Derek moment:

This will sound cruel but the scene where Kali stabbed him with a pipe in... 304? And then kept him impaled on it throughout the episode while Deucalion talked to him. I'm not a sadist, Tyler Hoechlin just did an amazing job in that scene. I mean, seriously, he spent the whole episode on his hands and knees, pretending to be in excruciating pain. And I really and truly believed it. It was amazingly well played!

"A gun is not discursive" by hungerpunch | Arthur/Eames | Arthur deals with his unrequited love by making a hitlist. Eames finds out. | 9.100 words

It’s two weeks before anything happens. Eames goes to sleep one night and when he wakes up, a man on the list has been found murdered, same m.o. as all the others. “They’re going to think you’re a serial killer,” Eames mutters aloud and clicks out of the police report before having the striking realization that the only element keeping Arthur from being precisely a serial killer is that he’s killing for vengeance. If Eames’ hunch is true. Some would argue semantics, even if it were.

What a strange fic. I missed reading Inception stories so much... *happy sigh* Arthur/Eames, one of my top OTPs!
