"Black Lagoon Vol. 6" by Rei Hiroe

Great fight sequences but too much talking. I do like it when a manga has a story, but the story and the conversations have to be interesting. Pages after pages of politicking and/or a very detailed description of counterfeiting? That's rather boring. Also, there was very little interaction between the characters of the Black Lagoon. I love Revy and Rock's bickering of which there was a severe lack in this volume. Revy and Eda were hilarious, though. And the twist with Eda? I so didn't expect that!

Stiles, Scott & Derek

So, Jeff Davis (the creator), Dylan O'Brien (Stiles) and Tyler Posey (Scott) were at WonderCon yesterday. You can read pretty detailed reports - SPOILERS included - here: Collider & Sound on Sight. Nothing really new or groundbreaking was revealed, there were two bits that I liked, though. Non-spoilery.

1) 'Davis said that he enjoys changing up relationships in the show, but "the real romance of the show is between Scott and Stiles."' Interesting. I wouldn't be opposed to reading a Scott/Stiles fic but... it would have to be a future fic, I think. From a slasher's POV, I think they would have to mature first, grow up, for me to believe in them as a couple. As best friends? Easy, they are awesome together. As lovers? Erm... Right now? Not so much.

2) 'Davis also said that while he is fully aware of the Sterek phenomenon, it’s not something that impacts his writing. But he did say that he is conscious of it when writing and that he’s focused on pleasing himself as a writer, so if it worked for the show he wouldn’t be opposed to pulling the trigger.' I actually agree with him. I'm glad that he doesn't pander to his fans. I wouldn't have to see Derek/Stiles in the show itself, but if it suited the story, I would be overjoyed. But also not right now. The age of consent aside, both Stiles and Derek need to learn how to deal with the crap in their lives first. Maybe in S4 or S5, if there is one?

It's funny to see them try hiding the fact that Amanda Righetti - playing Grace Van Pelt - was pregnant at the time they were filming this. Ha!
