NBC cast Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal Lecter in their upcoming show Hannibal, based on Tom Harris' book "Red Dragon"! Link.

The project, written and exec-produced by Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller and slated to debut at midseason, centers on the budding relationship between FBI agent Will Graham (played by Hugh Dancy) and his mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter – who are re-introduced at the beginning of their budding relationship.

I wasn't interested in the show before but this is REALLY interesting. Mads Mikkelsen is fantastic, so menacing when he wants to be *_* Too bad it's on NBC, it'll flop regardless of its quality - yeah, I'm a cynic - but this really piqued my interest!

"Hush" by Fish | Arthur/Eames | In which Arthur deliberately traps himself in Limbo. | ~8.400 words

Eames could barely see the rise and fall of Arthur's chest.

The timer on the PASIV was blank.

"Oh darling. What have you done to yourself?"

What a heartbreaking story. Sometimes, you just need a good cry.

There's this blog entry that an American author posted about Robert Downey Jr. and what he had done for her grandma many years ago and it's so beautiful I had tears in my eyes when I finished reading it. Link.

The best parts: Cut because it's long-ish... )

I thought I couldn't love RDJ more but I was wrong... *_*

Evie and Rick, The Mummy

Let's talk about the actors first because in this case, it's really all about them. Rachel Weisz and Brendan Fraser had amazing chemistry together! The Mummy 1+2 were fantastic because of that. The Mummy 3 though... I do like it as a film - as a stand-alone movie, not as a sequel to the previous two - but it definitely lacks something, the "something" being Rachel Weisz. Maria Bello is a good actress but she just didn't really fit the part. When they couldn't get Rachel back, they should've either killed Evie off or made her absent, I don't know, let her tour the world, promoting her book. They could've turned it into a joke with Rick and Jonathan trying to keep her from finding out in what a mess their son landed himself, something like that. Replacing the actress was a bad, BAD idea.

And now to the characters. Evie has spunk! She might not literally kick ass but she's strong and brave and intelligent and funny and sweet and she's a LIBRARIAN and so proud of it! How could you not love her? And the way she and Rick click from the very moment they meet, it's so hilarious! I love that they bicker and laugh and fight side by side and they have an awesome kid - for once, I really LOVED the kid! - and they're simply fun to watch. And their devotion to each other shines from every word, every glance, every touch. Lovely, simply lovely...

From what I hear, Hollywood is planning to reboot this franchise. I'm of two minds. I don't want them to mess with Rick and Evie, but they already did mess them up, so... But if they chose actors with similar chemistry... I could actually see Chris Hemsworth as Rick, the same rugged but gorgeous look... Oh well. Hopefully, they won't mess up the reboot the way they messed up the characters in the 3rd movie, that's all I want at this point.
