Teen Wolf 104-108

Wow, seriously! I watched 5 episodes in a row. I simply couldn't get enough of this show. It's fantastic! No show has gripped me this much in... forever.

I was actually really, truly terrified watching some of the scenes. ( Spoilers! )

Yeah, Scott is a bit annoying but, man, the boy has some real problems! I mean, to have a beast like that after you specifically? Yeesh!

I loved the character montage during the parent-teacher conference, introducing all the characters without it feeling forced. I think this cemented Jackson as my favorite character. I mean, all of the characters - Scott, Stiles, Allison, Lydia and Jackson - have issues, but Jackson has Issues with a capital I! He seems like a simple-minded jock at first, but then you learn more about him and... I mean, his best friend is his gay classmate! This is not your simple redneck jock material.

And who would've thought that Allison and Jackson would make such an amazing team! It seems like they really care about each other, in a simple friendly way.

Peeps, if you haven't seen this show yet and you love stories with supernatural themes, give it a try. It's fantastic!

Protective!girl

As you know, one of my "kinks" is protective!girl - yet, it's so hard to find! When you ask about it, people usually think "girl with a gun" or "female bodyguard" and that's it. But that's not it. A girl doesn't have to carry a gun to be protective of her male counterpart - though it usually helps. It's the impression she gives, her... aura if you want to call it that. And it's not always sexual!

In the shows currently on air, I sense protective!girl vibes in Beckett (towards Castle in Castle), Kensi (towards Deeks in NCIS:LA) and Ziva (towards DiNozzo in NCIS). It's hard to describe why. It's the subtle hints in their behavior towards their partner. Remember the explosion in the court room in Castle, when Beckett covered Castle with her body? Remember Kensi's anger when Deeks was shot? Remember Ziva going nuts and beating everybody in sight when she thought DiNozzo was shot in that ep where they had to sneak inside the super sekrit facility? Those were the scenes that stroke my kink like whoa!

In past shows, what comes to my mind right now, is... Scully with Mulder in The X-Files. Delenn with Sheridan in Babylon 5, Vala with Daniel in SG-1, Carter with Daniel in SG-1, Ghani with Leto in Children of Dune...

So, any other shows/movies with protective!girl vibes? Any Sanctuary fans on my flist? I sensed a bit of that in Helen towards Will - is it so? Anything else?
