New TeeVee
Oct. 12th, 2010 09:51 amIs it just me or are the new shows this year particularly... bland and boring?
The Event: Don't like serialized shows. But it's about aliens! Still don't like serialized shows. And this one's turning out to be - according to its ratings - another Flashforward: good start only to drop and drop and continue dropping.
Chase: Might give it another go, if it doesn't get canceled first, it's now pulling lower numbers than Chuck.
Hawaii 5-0: The only new show worth watching, IMHO. I'm not feeling the overwhelming love yet, but it has potential to grow on me. Like a fungus :P I watch it mostly because I love Steve and Danny's bickering.
Lone Star: Don't like serialized shows. I saw no need for what was basically a Dallas remake. CANCELED.
No Ordinary Family: Would've given it a try if they didn't have teenage kids with TEH ANGST. I hate, hate brats.
Detroit 1-8-7: Don't like "realistic" cop shows. Dark and grit is so not my think. Think fluffy unicorns, that's me. Besides, this one's kinda sinking in the ratings anyway.
Undercovers: Too Chuck like. If there weren't Chuck and Covert Affairs... I'm smitten with Boris Kodjoe but... Besides, it's literally tanking in the ratings, it's now getting lower numbers than both Chuck and Chase.
Hellcats: High school. 'nough said.
The Defenders: Lawyers. 'nough said.
Law and Order: Los Angeles: Never liked any of the L&O incarnations.
The Whole Truth: Lawyers. 'nough said. Besides, it's tanking in the ratings BIG TIME!
Terriers: Don't like any of the actors. It might have been interesting with a different cast.
Nikita: Loved La Femme Nikita with Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis. I see no need for a sequel/remake - sequake? O.o Although I might have given it a try if it were just about Nikita, not that teenage wannabe agent, Nikita 2.0.
Blue Bloods: Reminds me of Family of Cops with Charles Bronson. I might give it a try if it stabilizes in the ratings. I don't want to start watching a show only to have it canceled.
Outlaw: Lawyers. 'noug said. CANCELED.
So, to sum it up: H50 is a keeper, Chase and Blue Bloods I might try again if they stop dropping in the ratings. I'm so disappointed by the new shows. One's more boring than the other *shakes head*
