Sherlock 102
Aug. 19th, 2013 10:20 pmI've never made a secret of liking Blind Banker the least of all the Sherlock episodes so far. And not because I consider it racist or whatever, I just think the case is boring. It has its great character moments, but overall, I don't re-watch it nearly as often as the rest.
My favorite character moments? John yelling at the chip-n-pin machine. Sherlock simply offering John his credit card. John finding the Chinese souvenir shop first. John taking a picture of the squiggles on the wall. Sherlock not getting what a date is. Sherlock insinuating himself into John and Sara's date. Sherlock's expression when he realized John and Sara were taken. Sherlock saving the day. John and Sherlock eating at the very end - quite a domestic situation, lovely.
Regarding the supporting characters, I never minded Sara and I was glad that she and John remained friends after everything that happened. Also, I was glad that Dimmock hasn't made an appearance since. I very much prefer Lestrade. Maybe because you get the impression that he actually really likes Sherlock. Sure, he would love to take him down a peg, but he does like him and he doesn't want to see him hurt. And that's quite lovely.
