Arrow 104-108
Feb. 10th, 2013 11:51 pmI needed to take a breather from Person of Interest. I love the show but the cases tend to follow the same pattern after a while. So...
I love to watch Oliver. Not only is Stephen Amell gorgeous and has an amazing, fantastic body and some bad-ass moves, I just love the way he plays Ollie. When you look into his eyes, most of the time, it's like nobody's home. And sometimes I can't believe that the others actually think he's okay. That guy has a major PTSD! I know that he keeps telling them that he has issues and they mostly accept it but he doesn't have issues, he has ISSUES! It feels like he's actually dead inside. There were a few scenes where he smiled at someone and hugged that person - only to drop the smile as soon as said person couldn't see him. It's really creepy. And I'm glad he has Diggle to talk to now or he might have ended up like Helena.
I'm really glad that Ollie's mother's finally starting to accept that this is her son now, that the Oliver she knew before doesn't exist anymore. And gosh, how bad-ass was she when she visited Malcolm and threatened to destroy him if he dared to hurt her family again. Now we know where Oliver gets it from.
And since I'm on the topic of Merlyn Sr. - JOHN BARROWMAN! Gosh, that man is beautiful. And I think he fits the picture of Tommy's father perfectly. They have the same coloring. Also, he's scary O.O But with style! So much style. Wow!
And then there's Felicity. I thought she would be only in one episode but now she's recurring and I'm loving it. I love her rants. And her brilliance. She's so, so brilliant! And lovely. And funny!
My favorite parts?
- When Diggle found out that Oliver's father committed suicide right there, in front of Ollie.
- When Laurel found out that Oliver was tortured on the island.
- When we found out that Walter was the good guy, Moira was the bad apple!
- When Det. Lance had to admit he was wrong.
Regarding Helena, I have no real feelings about her. I didn't hate or but I didn't love her either. I wouldn't mind seeing her again, though.
Gosh, this series has so many awesome, ass-kicking women: Moira, Felicity, Laurel, China White... It's lovely!
