Leverage ending?

TNT still hasn't renewed Leverage for S6, it's the only show they air that hasn't gotten a pick-up yet, so the producers decided to design the S5 season finale - which will air on Dec. 25 - as a series finale:
I honestly wouldn't mind if the show ended. It lost me around S2.5 where it started to feel like they were rehashing storylines, you know, same old, same old. I own the first two seasons on DVD and I decided to catch up on it once the show's done for good. It's a sweet series but nothing ground-breaking or scenery-stealing. I'm just glad that there will be a proper ending.
“[Fellow EP] John Rogers and I decided to end this season with the episode we had planned to make to end the series, way back when we shot the pilot,” Devlin wrote in an open letter on LeverageFans.com. As a result, the hour — perhaps inauspiciously titled “The Long Good-bye Job” — is “the series finale we had always envisioned.”
