Anime, anime, anime
Apr. 24th, 2005 11:15 pmWow, I found so many animes to download and watch. Wow...
Fafner in the Azure: This one I got from a dear friend of mine. And it's excellent. If you like mechas, you'll adore this one. It's about a small island that's hiding from the post-apocalyptic civilisation behind a barrier of some sort. From time to time it's attacked by these weird alien beings against which the "Fafner" fight. The pilot of the Fafner is mentally connected to the one controlling the "Siegfried" system and together they fight. And that's where the beautiful yaoi possibilities sprout from - Kazuki and Soushi. Especially if you know how the whole story ends - okie, I admit, I peeked :D This one will be great. Not much politics - in Gundam Wing there was too much of it - and great action! :)
Sousei no Aquarion: Another mecha show. In this one the animation of the battles is done digitally. It's another great show. The action is fast, really really fast and even though I saw only the first episode so far, there were no blank or boring bits. From what I understood so far it's about reincarnation. And there was even a yaoi pairing in the past. None in present though *pouts* But this anime is really worth watching, even if just for the action. What a rush!
Tsukuyomi - Moon Phase: This one is of the ghosts and vampires sort. It's a dark comedy. It's about a photographer who works for this occult magazine. He takes the best pics of ghosts and other unnatural beings even though he can't see them. They can dance around him, almost kick him in the butt and he is totally oblivious. Then he sees this cute girl in one of the castles. And of course, this girl is a vampire and can't get out of there. So, she decides to bite him and make him her servant. I love the fact that the girl is cute and all that stuff, but on the other hand she is rather manipulative and would do anything to get what she wants. And of course, there is the obligatory female editor of the magazine and their boss, the guy who can actually fight the monsters. I like what I've seen so far. I will definitely download the rest.
And you know what? In all the new series, there is always such a wonderful music. Wow. Especially in Aquarion and in My HiME - which I finished just yesterday. What a wonderful anime, btw!
Links? You can find both Sousei no Aquarion and Tsukuyomi here. I think that Fafner was licensed though :(
