What Martin Freeman said: "The hope is that we will make a third series. There is certainly more to do and I would like to do it. It's a very nice way to spend your time." Link.
What Benedict Cumberbatch said: The actor suggested that making a third series of the BBC detective drama could prove difficult, following the conclusion of Steve Thompson's The Reichenbach Fall.
"You might see that it's quite hard for me to make it back, after the end of the last episode." Link.
I've seen a couple of pictures from the S2 finale and I'm quite nervous, let me tell you. Not about Sherlock's chances of survival but about where this season will end, at which point. Can you imagine getting S3 in another 1.5 years with the ep ending with John all alone?.
