This is a beautiful atmospheric piece. Short but oh so feel!good...
Kirk sits on his desk, boots dangling, and they talk while McCoy checks the vials in the cabinet and restocks the drawers with rolls of bandages and cotton wool. He does the same thing every evening even though he has half a dozen people to do it for him. At first, Kirk thought it was because he didn’t trust them. But now he knows it’s because McCoy can’t predict who will next barrel through his door, bruised and bleeding, but he can be prepared for it.
This is a beautiful atmospheric piece. Short but oh so feel!good...
