Possible Monte Christo spoilers

katikatYesterday, I watched the first episode of Monte Christo and... man, did that anime creep me out like so much. *shudder* I mean, the whole setting gives me the shivers. And then Monte Christo and Albert... How he tempted him into playing the game of cards with the prisoners´ life on stake. Goshy gosh. Creepy like hell.
And I can understand why some people might not get used to the style. The clothes done with real patterns... It is weird. And the whole mix of the 19th and 20th century and a far, far future... Really unusual.
I really hope that the anime will concentrate on Monte Christo and Albert and not on all the other characters too. That would be way too complicated for an anime, I think. But Monte Christo and Albert? Or maybe Albert and his friend? Do I feel yaoi vibrations there? :D
