I'm so tired of everything being turned into a male vs. female issue - especially in the show business. I understand that some of the controversies do stem from genuine discrimination on the part of the writers/execs/etc., but mostly? It's just bad writing, not some hidden agenda to put down women.

Case in point: This week's The Glades. Writer? Female. And for the first time since I started watching this show, I found the female characters not just annoying but downright unlikable. Their lines, their behavior, their attitude. It left a sour aftertaste in my mouth. Thank you, but no, thank you. Female writer =/= good at writing female characters.

To sum it up: Vagina does not automatically a good writer make. Could we please stop turning everything into a male writer vs. female writer issue and start seeing it as a bad writer vs. good writer thing?
