What? SyFy's new pilot Alphas:

Alphas is about a team of ordinary citizens with extraordinary mental skills who take on cases that the CIA, FBI and Pentagon have been unable to solve. Link

Though it'll all depend on the cast. I hope that SyFy will go with its favorite actors and that we'll see some familiar faces.

Well, Sci-Fi, I hope this is good enough to begin to ease the pain of SGA being canceled for frickin' SGU. (Me, bitter still?) But yeah, it does sound pretty interesting! *crosses fingers*

Wait, sorry, SyFy. Dumbest name-change ever.

Mine too. I just hope that they'll hire some likable actors!

I'm also interested in SyFy's new show Haven, based on Stephen King's short story: http://www.spoilertv.com/2010/05/haven-new-promos.html

And the US version of Being Human, because it's produced by the Supernatural writer Jeremy Carver.

It's just too bad that they don't have one new space based show. On the other hand, I don't miss space shows enough to watch SGU *shrugs*

When I miss space shows, I go back and watch SGA and SG-1. But if they're all going to go the way of SGU, good riddance say I.

I liked Being Human well-enough to watch the first season, but I never bothered to pick up the second season. When it was on, it was spot-on, but sometimes it felt really off. Just very uneven. (Although, I will never forget the awesomeness of them playing Johnny Cash's "The Man Comes Around" while Herrick et al are suiting up for the big fight at the end.)

As to Haven, that might be interesting, I can't tell. On one hand, I'm not a big Stephen King fan, but on the other, Shawshank Redemption is one of my favourite movies ever. So, I'll just have to see. Thanks for the head's up!

For me, Being Human UK seemed... off in general. I don't know, maybe because I don't like UK series much in general. The only ones that I like are The Professionals, Dempsey and Makepeace and The Midsommer Murders. In BH, I didn't like any of the actors, they just didn't click for me :(

See, I'm not even entirely sure what it was. I liked the characters and actors well-enough, and the plot was interesting enough. I guess, outside of the idea of a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost living together, there wasn't really that much? Or they tried too hard? IDEK. And I don't generally categorize things as "UK TV" or "US TV": to me, if the Brit version of a show is uninteresting, then the US version is going to be uninteresting as well, unless major renovation happens. So, we'll just have to see.

So, a vampire, werewolf, and ghost walk into a bar...
