How did he do it?

How did Sherlock do it? According to Steven Moffat, viewers have missed a big clue: link.

Spoilers! )

Also according to Moffat, Sherlock could return this year: link. I wouldn't count on it but The Hobbit's going to finish filming in July, so Martin Freeman should be available then. I think it depends on how big a part Benedict Cumberbatch will play in the new Star Trek. I will take anything, just not another 14 month long break between the seasons ;_;

Amazing Sherlock fanart!

What happened after the screen went dark at the end of 203 and the credits started rolling?

Spoilery for the end of 203! )

Wow! This fanartist's attention to detail... Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I'm smitten. And I hope something like that did happen *crosses fingers and toes*

Aww...

Blogcritics.com posted an interview with Kath Lingenfelter, one of the writers for House: link. It's quite spoilery from what I understand, but I Ctrl+F'd only the parts about Wilson. And this part I loved best:

"A lot of times, we look at two people who are together and think, ‘that is the most dysfunctional, terrible situation.’” On the other hand, when you take a closer look, she believes, you realize that they actually balance each other. “There’s a force greater than them that keeps them together and it actually works and it’s beautiful.”

For Lingenfelter, that notion immediately brings to mind the relationship between House (Hugh Laurie) and best friend Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard). On the face of it, she suggested, they “don’t seem healthy for each other, but I tried to come up with a B story that suggests that, no, actually, they’re perfect for each other.”

Aww... House and Wilson are the only reason I still check out this show from time to time. Their friendship is so deep and funny and heartwarming and it's wonderful that some writers still see it (esp. after the Cuddy disaster of S7!).

Sherlock vs. Elementary

So, CBS first approached BBC, wanting to remake Sherlock. Now they decided to make their own show. Sue Vertue's response: link.

The producers of the BBC's acclaimed Sherlock series, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, are prepared to take legal action against the US network over a rival Holmes series which appears to tread on familiar ground.

(...)

Sue Vertue, Sherlock Executive Producer at Hartswood Films, said: "We understand that CBS are doing their own version of an updated Sherlock Holmes. It's interesting, as they approached us a while back about remaking our show. At the time, they made great assurances about their integrity, so we have to assume that their modernised Sherlock Holmes doesn't resemble ours in any way, as that would be extremely worrying."

Interesting. I bet BBC will follow CBS' show VERY closely and the minute they even hint at copying something from Sherlock, they'll be slapped with a plagiarism charge so fast their heads will spin. And good for BBC! Great that they refused to let them remake Sherlock. Can't the US TV come up with ANYTHING original anymore? All CBS does lately are spin-offs and remakes and redos.
