SPN's ratings - ouch!

Supernatural dropped but not as much as I feared - I suspected 2.3-2.5 mil. and 1.0/2 demo. It got 2.62 mil. and 1.2/3 demo - viewership was lower than usual but demo stayed as usual. And despite CSI and GA premiering, it dropped only 160.000 - Fringe's premiere hit it much harder so it's probable that Fringe is hurting its numbers more than CSI or GA. I hope that next Thursday, it'll go up again, even if slightly.

But still, ouch!

On the other hand:

Now in its 5th season, SUPERNATURAL has seen its ratings grow over last season by 27% with women 18-34 (1.4/4), 9% in adults 18-34 (1.2/3) and 8% in women 18-49 (1.3/3).

SUPERNATURAL faced tougher competition (against the “Grey’s Anatomy” and “CSI” premieres), and still retained 92% of last week’s adults 18-34 rating (1.2/3), 100% of its adults 18-49 audience (1.2/3) and 94% in total viewers (2.62mil). Source

Please, don't let it drop any lower. Please *crosses fingers*

And you believe that the CW will promote SPN? O.O Really?

Promote a certain guest star that has their fanbase in their female teen demo? I think in that case they might make an exception. Or the guest star will promote themselves. :D

If the CW doesn't fold, that is. I mean, what else would they stick there? Against a power house in the female demo like GA?

No idea. Isn't there another 90s soap they can redo? *g* Or maybe an 80s one. How about Dallas High - "sexy bad boy" J.R.Ewing or Dynasty 2.0 - Teeangers who are oil millionaires. Or Falcon Crest.

If the CW doesn't fold, that is.

I think that is the bigger risk right now compared to cancellation. As well as the DVD sold, WB would probably be interested in another Season. And it would be high time for a syndie deal right now.
