Good morning! :)
Good morning, dear friends! :D
Thunder has been rumbling outside for some time now and it's still so hot *fans herself* I'm sitting hear with my morning coffee, my mate tea is ready to kick start my higher brain function and my green tea is ready too to sustain me through the day...
Now I just have to find the energy to actually start working *sigh* I'm translating R. A. Salvatore's "Homeland" at the moment, the first book in the Drizzt Do'Urden series. I translated the 5th and 6th book first because they used to publish them way out of order. I've loved Drizzt ever since but now... Reading about his childhood, how he suffered, what a sunny child he used to be and how he turned into this sad, hurt being, it hurts :(
Last night I was a busy bee! I finished "Five Times the Winchesters Were Werewolves, part 2" and send it off to my lovely beta
yami_tai and...!
I found out that they brought out the first season of LA Heat on DVD! *squee* I mean, it's LA Heat! Wolf Larson and Steven Williams, the best partners since... Jim and Blair. It's like Lethal Weapon turned into a series. Yes, I was a fan. How did you notice? :P And of course, I had to have that one! I've been looking for this series for... years now, really.
And besides the humor and the great chemistry between the protagonists, there was another cool thing about it. You see, I used to be a big fan of B action movies. You know, Jack Scalia, Joe Lara, Gary Daniels, Bryan Genesse, Michael Paré... that sort of thing. Some of them were actually very good (I really need to order T-Force with Jack Scalia!). And LA Heat re-used some of their action/stunt sequences. I used to play the "Guess where did you see that scene before?" game while watching this TV show :D They used a lot of Gary Daniels movies because he and Wolf Larson are both tall and blond so the stuntman could be used for both of them. Heh!
I just hope that they'll also bring out Houston Knights on DVD, because dude, did that show rock my socks off! Michael Paré as Joey LaFiamma and Michael Beck as Levon Lundy... Huzzah!
And I also ordered the manga Jazz 3 + 4. I have so many manga series started that I decided to actually finish one before starting another. Heh! And the fact that this manga has an older uke and younger seme doesn't hurt either ;)
Off to actually work XP
