Musicals

So, when I asked about classic movies, many, many peeps rec'd me Singing in the Rain and Some Like It Hot - both hilarious movies; that actress with the screechy voice in the former and the famous "Nobody's perfect" phrase in the latter - both are a hoot!

Yet my favorite musical is Gigi with Leslie Caron and Louis Jordan:

The summary says: Weary of the conventions of Parisian society, a rich playboy and a youthful courtesan-in-training enjoy a platonic friendship, but it may not stay platonic for long.

And it's a hoot, too! I just love how Gaston is so incredibly bored and only Gigi can entertain him, the little girl he became friends with, because she's so honest and down-to-earth. But when he realizes that the "little girl" isn't a little girl anymore, his world turns upside down. It's hilarious! Set around 1900 in Paris, the atmosphere is perfect, perfect!

Fringe 321-322

Aaaaaaaand I'm done with Fringe S3! What a twist at the end O_o

Spoilers for the last two episodes and for the season in general! )

I won't start watching S4 immediately. I want to - oh, how much I want to - but I learned that Fringe, because of its serialized nature, is a show better watched in big chunks. I think I'll wait for the mid-season hiatus and watch it over Xmas!
