TV meme!

Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite TV show:

SPN's Mystery Spot, hands down. Come on, that episode was perfect. Action and horror and suspense and OMG THE BROTHERLY LOVE! That's what this show's about for me and that's why I still love it even though many people on my flist are giving up on it - as long as it has Sam and Dean being all brotherly, they could peel potatoes and I would be happy. And Mystery Spot was... \o/ It was all that time a billion! Maaaaaan, I need to watch the ep again!

Tere Michaels' "Faith and Fidelity", #45

Synopsis... )

Review: I have a weakness for "gay for you" stories and this one's just about perfect. A widower and a father of four Evan and an eternal womanizer Matt fall for each other hard - the problem is, neither has ever had feelings for a man, until now. Where Matt gets over his issues fast and just wants to enjoy their bliss, Evan has bigger problems dealing with his feelings for a man, especially since his in-laws are breathing down his neck and blaming him for the death of their daughter, his wife. I loved all the awkward "damn, what now?" moments, just like all the supporting characters: Vic, Helena and especially James (who's the hero of Michaels' next book!). A great romance worth reccomending!

D/s

I ordered Chris Owen's gay book "Deviations: Submission". Why? Well, as you probably know, my WhiCo Big Bang story deals with D/s and it's mostly told from the sub's POV. The thing is, it's not about sex. Seriously. There's no sex in the story, like, at all. So, it deals with what it's like for a sub to give himself over to a dom. I did a lot of research for the story - for example, did you know that the safest zones for whipping are the buttocks or the upper back whereas with upper thighs you need to very careful and the lower back is out of question completely? - but I wanted to read a real, published, thoroughly researched but still plotty book and this one was recommended to me. My GR friends all love it. Hm...
